The really crazy thing about the flood account is that it supposedly happened just 4,393 years ago, or in 2370 BCE.
The WT Society accept that animals "evolved" or whatever from the two of each "kind" in the ark. However, many animals such as lions and tigers were well known in Roman times, so they had evolved in just 2,000 years.

so i have an eye out for a couple of the more nefarious jw books from the past.
i look on ebay etsy and others.
i see that the older books are selling for a good price.
Here in the UK there is on Ebay Ray Franz's two books for sale, Crisis of Conscience and In Search of Cristian Freedom. £70.00 the pair though after I have viewed them I had an offer of £56.00 if I bought them within a couple of days.
The same seller had other WT books and they are not cheap.

some years ago the wt started putting it out there that noah took 120 years to build the ark, and since the wt was the new ark, it may allow them up to 2034 (1914 + 120) before armageddon.
it could have been their new 1975 to get excited about, but i don't see any mention of it at all now.
what happened during the two decades since last i observed anything about the wt?.

There is no such arrangement. If your elders did it, it was plain wrong.
The congregation is not even allowed to "round up" expenses. In the past if the CO expenses were say £87 we would pay him £100. The Society put a stop to that and we then had to pay the exact sum he had receipts for.

so everyone knows the “big news” of this past weekend, no more reporting of hours, placements, return visits, etc.
beginning november 1, jws just tick a box indicating whether they “shared in any form of the ministry during the month”.. so there was a brief comment by a redditor that seems like a brief joke “throwaway comment” but after thinking about it….why not?.

I think that's exactly it. This change, and others, would not have got the unanimous vote while Tony Morris had a say.
I was surprised to hear that there has to be a unanimous vote with the GB. Is this a new thing? I seem to remember in Ray Franz's CoC he mentioned there had to be a "two thirds majority". It's a long time since I read it of course, maybe somebody has a better memory than me.

This is going to mess up the annual Service Year Report. They will have to miss off the "Total Number of Hours Spent in Field" statistic.
